    Well 2 observations about this:

    1. The “kid” above holds true to the innocence of what Francis Thompson once wrote: “Know you what it is to be a child? it is to believe in love, to believe in loveliness, to believe in belief; it is to be so little that the elves can reach to whisper in your ear; it is to turn pumpkins into coaches, and mice into horses, lowness into loftiness, and nothing into everything…. for each child has its fairy godmother in its own soul.”

….Upon that, when we trade lessons for adulthood, we lose our inner voice, our fairy godmother.

    — I used to be Snow White, but I drifted —

    2. Although I do agree to an extent by that statement, “Success” is rather subjective… I’ve come across individuals in rather “successful” positions in their careers… and am still shell-shocked by how they got there – definitely by chance and lots of ass-kissing, definitely not by talent or skills.

To me, I try not to become a (wo)man of success but rather try to become a (wo)man of value…for the love of what I am doing, I will be successful.
